Creams which claim to get rid of cellulite and fat and machines which tone the thighs, arms or abs.
It has been proven that it is not possible to spot reduce. Trying to do it will not make it work and will not do you any good.
Why Can’t I Spot Reduce?
The advertising market leads the public astray when it comes to their 'amazing' products because there aren't any amazing results to look forward to.
1. Healthy Diet Is Important
The best and sensible way to lose undesired fats is to have a healthy diet. The food that you eat contains calories and cholesterols which are stored in your body, probably on those increasingly rising areas. Fats are the main culprit of weight gain.
These creams and gadgets will only assist you in some weight loss if you stop eating unhealthy foods.
2. Spot Reduction Is a Mere Myth
It's rare that only one part of the body needs work. Therefore creams and gadgets which claim to work on single body parts don't help with the other body parts.
You must know yourself, what your body needs to be healthy. You need to know what it needs to achieve a goal. If you want that six pack you have to know what it takes to get it.
What is most important for you to know is that, if you want that six pack, simply concentrating on abdominal exercises or machines which claim to get you a six pack, will not work. It is not possible to spot reduce. You will not be able to achieve the goal just doing stomach exercises.
It's not possible for the fat to come off on its own by just using a machine. It has to do with genetics, diet and your lifestyle.
You will have to lose the fats before you are able to start to get that six pack. Just doing stomach exercises will not help you lose those excess fats. The body is not able to lose fats in a particulae area by doing a particular exercise. Fats are burned one at a time and not just in one area. The body has a more integrated system of reducing the fats in the body.
You will then also have to gain body mass. The only way you can only get rid of the fats and get some body mass is to have a healthy diet and do cardio exercises.
Only when you have a healthy lifestyle and carry out cardio requirements can you look at performing the abdominal exercises. It is only now that these exercises will be useful in achieveing that six pack.
3. There Are No Shortcuts
Miracle diets, pills and potions will lead you to a dead end. If you want a healthy body, you have to work for it.
The body you want is only achieved by a healthy diet, regular exercise and may considerable amount of time to develop.
4. Health and Fitness Require Commitment
It is a lifelong commitment. The health of your body, even if you already have a good body now, will not be consistent unless you continue to have a healthy lifestyle. Your body needs to be taken care of all the time.
That is why if you believe the spot reduction claims, it will not get you anywhere. Aim for the healthy body; get a personal exercise program and make some changes in your diet. Give your self a holistic development. Improve, not only the body, but your outlook in life as well.
Do It the Proper Way
The bottom line is get healthy the proper way - it's not difficult to enjoy the benefits of a healthy body but the only person who can do it is you.
